My dear Manju,
Your letter intimating your reaction against the terrific noise in our locality reached me yesterday.  You are right in calling this "Noise Pollution " . People here are all worried about checking this nuisance. Recently Kolkata High Court has issued an order against the Government for its failure to check this.
You know, my dear friend, mere passing of laws and issuing of Court order do very little in uprooting the evils. The Government is , however, pretty serious in this matter. During the last puja festival we saw that situation had improved to some extent.  You may rest assured the evil will subside in near future.
